CTF rules
Do not attack any system inside the network
There is no reason to attack any system inside the network, as all of the flags are acquirable with the usage of this CTF-platform and a system that you are using in order to access it.
Do not exploit the platform itself
By exploiting the CTF-platform you are ruining the fun for others, you might be adding unnecessary load to the network (E.g. Dirbusting, DoS, etc.), and you would also be needlessly adding to the workload of the administrator(s). If you happen to find an exploit/vulnerability from the platform itself, please contact the CTF administrator.
Do not try to brute force the flags on the platform
Likewise to the aforementioned, brute forcing the flags on the CTF-platform would create unnecessary load to the network, and it is also against the nature of these types of competitions. Treat each flag as a puzzle; If you try to brute force it, you are not really trying to solve the puzzle, but rather trying to skip to the results without learning anything.
Do not intentionally prevent others from flagging/participating
You should try your best to avoid ruining the fun for others. For example, do not even try to access the accounts of other people or prevent them access to their own account. This type of rule violation is highly unacceptable, and will result in an indefinite ban from this and future events conducted by the current administrator.
Do not register multiple accounts
Please register only one account per participant. If you forget your password, use the "Forgot my password" functionality or contact either the staff/hosts via Microsoft Teams or in person.
Do not share the flags or ask for direct answers
Afterall, this is still a competition, so do your personal best. If you need hints, you can buy them with points from within the CTF-platform.
No racist or offensive nicks/emails/etc.
While I agree that dark humour can be quite exquisite and sophisticated, not everyone shares a similar thought process. So please, just don't.
Failure to follow the rules will result in a temporary or even permanent ban.
In case you happen to find any problems/exploits/vulnerabilities within the CTF-platform, flags or the network, please do not hesitate to contact the hosts or the CTF administrator!
